Bearing Replacement Instructions

If the inspection shows roughness, noises, irregularities or lockups, the bearings must be replaced. For the replacement, it is necessary to purchase a Service Kit. It includes:

            • 2 Bearings.
            • 2 Aluminium Adapter Bushings (If the model requires them).
            • 2 External Seals (If the model requires them).

Steps

Disclaimer: It is not necessary to remove the outer aluminum bushings when replacing the bearings.

1- Remove the cranks. Disassemble the cranks. Clean the area before continuing.

2- Remove the Bearing and Adapter Assembly. Using a Park Tool RT-1 or similar, remove the bearing, ensuring that the aluminum bushings are not damaged.

3- Install the New Bearing. Place the bearing using a bearing press (It is important to install one at a time). In case your bearing has two colors, the colored side should face outward, and the black side should face inward.

4- Install the Outer Seal (If applicable). Insert the included seal and make sure it is properly seated by pressing it all the way in. Then, grease the exterior of the seal to reduce friction.

5- Install the Aluminium Adapter. Insert the aluminum adapter into the bottom bracket, ensuring it is correctly aligned.

6- Install Spacers and/or O-rings. Place the appropriate spacers and O-rings, taking into account the adapter list.

7- Reinstall the Cranks. Mount the cranks and tighten the bolts using a torque wrench according to the recommended torque.

8- Final Verification. Ensure that the cranks spin smoothly and without noise. Verify that all components are correctly installed
